WHO WE ARE

Ad Astra Play Therapy, LLC specialize in play therapy trainings, clinical / play therapy supervision services and mental health support for parents and mental health professionals. Ragan and Bea have presented at many conferences at the local, national and international level. They have been invited to speak by the Australian Play Therapy Association, Texas Association for Play Therapy, Kansas School Social Work Association, Kansas School Social Work Association, Wichita State University's Power Conference, and the Midwest School Social Work Conference in St. Louis, Mo. Bea Burchill, LMSW

Bea Burchill, LMSW received her BSW from Wichita State University and then went on to receive her MSW from KU. She has worked in the school setting with grads Pre-K-12. She also has several years of experience working in the domestic violence field. Currently she is the child therapist at StepStone, a domestic violence shelter, working with children of all ages who have experienced intimate partner violence and family trauma. Bea is working towards her clinical license and is accumulating clinical supervision hours. She has also completed the play therapy certificate program and receives play therapy supervision.

Ragan received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Masters Degree in Social Work. She also has a Master's degree in Education from Newman University. She is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor. She is an adjunct professor at Allen County Community College and Newman University's Social Work program.

Ragan has worked in addictions, foster care and adoptions, private practice, medical social work and psychiatric social work. Currently, Ragan works as a behavior specialist in a public school and uses play therapy daily in her school-based therapy sessions. Ragan is passionate about school mental health, play therapy, social justice, unicorns, and all things geeky and pop culture. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing D&D, traveling, nature, mindfulness, reading, running, yoga & healthy living.
